Hamsey Green Sure Start Children's Centre Charter
We aim to provide a happy, secure and welcoming environment where parents, carers and children can access support to play and achieve together.
We value, respect and encourage the support of parents and carers within the centre and the local community.
We expect parents and carers to act in a responsible and respectful manner towards each other and staff at the centre at all times and encourage children to do the same.
We promote moral and social values within the centre and provide equal opportunities for all our visitors.
We know that visitors to the children’s centre have the right to expect support, advice and understanding and any personal information or sensitive issues shared within the centre will remain confidential. As a rule the information, which you and your child provide, will only be shared with your family’s consent. However, there may be certain times when we will need to share the information.
- To find out urgently if a child is at risk.
- To help a child who is at risk from harm.
- When an adult is at risk of harm.
- To help prevent or detect a serious crime.
We hope that if you have any concerns, worries or complaints you feel happy to approach the Centre Manager. We follow the ‘Responding to parents’ concerns’ procedure in line with Surrey County Council. A leaflet is displayed in the Children’s Centre, if you would like a copy please ask.
Please note that the taking of photographs by mobile phone within the Children’s Centre, by staff or visitors is strictly prohibited.
